Approach - Methods
Integrative approach
To offer you the best possible support, I have been trained in various complementary methods. By combining these, I approach the problems holistically and individually, because body, mind and soul build an indivisible unit.
Person-centered psychotherapy
Client-centered or person-centered psychotherapy, developed by the US psychologist Carl Rogers, is based on a humanistic and integrative vision of the human being. According to this approach, the person is much more than the sum of his parts and, as such, is the center of attention, with his individual wishes and needs, emotions and his own rhythm.
HELP YOU HELP YOURSELF
The basis of person-centered therapy is the conviction that the solution to your problems lies within you, since the corresponding resources are inherent to each person. During our sessions we work together to determine which steps are the right ones for you and what is blocking your development. We define individual solutions and maximize the use of your own resources.
For therapy to be effective, a good and trusting client-therapist relationship is fundamental. My attitude is one of respect, confidentiality, appreciation and interest in you, your emotions, concerns and needs. By listening and encouraging you, my approach allows you to gradually feel more comfortable with yourself and find your own way towards a fulfilling life.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
Carl Rogers
Solution-focused brief therapy
Solution-focused brief therapy according to Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg is a systemic method that emphasizes the solution rather than the problem. This approach consistently assumes that each person can positively shape their life through their own strengths, abilities and resources.
DON’T THINK IN PROBLEMS, THINK IN SOLUTIONS
My aim is to work with you to develop perspectives that give you the impulse to take the steps you have found yourself towards your goal. My task is to support you in identifying and making the best out of your strengths, so that you can find and implement the solution to whatever problem you may have.
"Problemtalk creates Problems. Solutiontalk creates solutions."
Steve de Shazer
EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This therapeutic method was developed in the 1990s by the American psychologist Francine Shapiro, originally for the treatment of trauma.
Today, the principle of EMDR is used in a variety of psychotherapeutic ways. The method can help you to process stressful memories and alleviate the associated emotional and psychological symptoms. It involves concentrating on a specific stressful memory and simultaneously applying bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, tapping or sounds. This provides relief from the stressful emotions and thoughts.
EMDR can be used to treat various situations, such as:
- Stressful memories
- Anxiety disorders / phobias
- Depressive states
- Self-confidence / self-esteem
- Stress management
- Goals and performance improvement
Hypnosis
The Greek word “hypnos” means sleep. However, it is not really sleep, but a special, deeply relaxed waking state.
Today, hypnotherapy is a scientifically recognized procedure that uses trance states and states of deep relaxation for therapeutic purposes. This method is used successfully in many areas, including the treatment of physical and psychological issues.
Hypnosis has nothing to do with loss of control. You can willingly interrupt your hypnotic process at any time. It is like a natural state that we can experience, for example, when falling asleep, waking up, daydreaming, watching a movie with concentration or reading a book. Our perception is reduced and our concentration is focused on a specific topic. The unconscious works quickly and makes decisions without involving consciousness. Its responsiveness is focused on one specific thing and attention is directed inwards. At the same time, external reality fades into the background and conscious activity is reduced. In this state, suggestibility is significantly increased.
In my practice I combine hypnosis with other procedures in order to create an individual treatment tailored to your specific needs.
Hypnotherapy can be used to treat various situations, such as:
- Smoking cessation
- Weight loss treatment
- Stress and burnout prevention
- Lack of concentration
- Internal blockages and conflicts
- Limiting beliefs
- Learning blocks and performance improvement
Depending on each case, few sessions may be enough to achieve noticeable results.
"Trust your unconscious. It knows more than you do."
Milton Erickson
Bioresonance
Bioresonance (BRT) is a regulative diagnostic and therapeutic procedure based on biophysical principles, in which the patient's energetic state is the basis for analysis and subsequent treatment. Like acupuncture and homeopathy, this method belongs to empirical medicine and focuses on the causes behind the symptoms of disorders.
By using your frequency information, which is picked up by the device, analyzed for resonance and returned to you in modulated form, the bioresonance method is tailored to your individual needs.
Due to a solid training and many years of experience with the bioresonance method, I integrate this procedure in my practice as an effective complement to psychotherapy.
PSYCHOTHERAPY & ADDITIONAL BIORESONANCE THERAPY
Emotional stress can be both a cause and a consequence of various disorders. The biophysical level, on which the bioresonance method is based, offers the possibility of testing and treating these disorders. It is often due to energy regulation disorders that our experiences can have such a stressful effect on us, that both psychological and physical problems arise. The aim of this approach is to reactivate your own regulation ability and thus restore balance.
GENTLE THERAPY WITHOUT MEDICATION
A supporting bioresonance treatment can be very helpful as part of your psychotherapy session. In my practice I use the Bicom device, which optimally combines diagnosis and therapy.
I use my integrative approach with the bioresonance method in the following situations:
- Anxiety and phobias
- Stress and burnout
- Depressive states
- Psychosomatic complaints and pain
- Sleep disorders
- Concentration disorders / blockages
- Weight reduction
- Smoking cessation
- Improvement of general well-being
Bioresonance is an alternative healing method and therefore, like homeopathy, is not a generally recognized method in the sense of conventional medicine.
I only use the Bicom optima device and thus, differentiate myself from the use of other devices whose effectiveness I cannot judge.
